My Review Of the Canon Powershot SD1200 - The Cutest Camera In Town by:Vickie Fernandez
I would never judge a camera by looks but after reading about and checking out the
Canon Powershot SD1200, I knew I had to try it because it was such a cute little camera and sounded like just what I wanted. So, I spent my money on it and wrote this review of the Canon Powershot SD1200.
Do you think a really small, really cute camera can be all its cracked up to be? Well, let's see. It comes in many colors for the discriminating photographer. Choose pink, lime green, grey, black, silver or blue. Even though it is smaller than a deck of cards, there is no problem with the placement of buttons. Every feature is accessible, well thought out and easy to use. You can save battery life too by using the viewfinder while shooting.
My test of the Canon Powershot SD1200 impressed me. I found the camera to be easy to use, simple and straightforward. You won't find a bunch of fluff that manufacturers will sometimes add on to confuse you and jack up the price. Oh no. You will get a simple, point and click camera that makes excellent quality photos and it also has a Smart Auto setting that automatically adjusts to different light settings taking all the guesswork out for you.
There you go, I'm giving the Canon Powershot SD1200 a favorable review, and not just because it's small, cute, and available in pink. It is easy to use and takes great pictures. The bottom line is it's compact, simple, great quality, and available in cool colors. This is simply the perfect little camera. What's better than that?
Although the Canon Powershot SD1200 has been getting high ratings across the board from consumers and businesses alike, I am here to offer my findings. After using the camera for a while, I would like to share my experience, pros and cons.
The Powershot SD1200 offers the latest technology combined with traditional photography that will provide adequate options for professionals and amateurs alike. Not many camera companies come up with a product that any kind of photographer can use. A list of the pros would include the compact size, reasonable price, easy to use features and long battery life. These features plus three different zoom options, 10.0 megapixels, and a bright 2.5 inch LCD screen will appeal to people of all ages and experience levels. You can't please everybody though. There are just a few cons.
This is a small camera folks, so don't be surprised that it is not equipped with as many shooting options as some other cameras. You should also be aware that its performance in low-light conditions is poor, affecting the photos taken. The Powershot SD1200 does not come with a printed manual, so be aware if you like to learn by reading a written manual.
When purchasing any piece of technology, there are pros and cons as you see. The Powershot SD1200 could be the right camera for you depending on what features you want and will actually end up using. Only you can decide. The choices you should consider are battery life, shooting features, durability, size, price, and zoom options.
