Eastern Conference

The Chicago Bulls. Another solid week for the Bulls who keep winning without Boozer. Their two guard rotation of the former Utah guards Korver and Brewer plus defensive specialist Bogans have held up nicely, but the signing of two guards off the streets this late for depth has to be of concern. They would be better off signing old number 23 who still has 12 minutes a game in him.

Boston Celtics. The Celtics had a rough road trip losing two of three on the road. The invisible man Krstic is now being seen as he averages 5 and 5. The Celtics are still waiting for Shaq to come back tom solve the problem inside. I hope they're not expecting of the Shaq of 5 years ago because they won't be getting that Shaq.

Miami Heat. The Heat a good week winning four of five against good teams, including blowing the doors off the Spurs. But getting punked by the Thunder on the inside and on the perimeter has to be of big concern, because there is no help on the way.

Orlando Magic. The Magic toughed out a win against the Nuggets which was good, but are locked in the fourth spot. Van Gundy did not go off on Stern which is a good thing, but it now is the time to give superman some rest because he will not get any in the playoffs.

Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks had a decent week winning two and losing two. They are cruising towards the playoffs. Am I missing something but are the Hawks good enough to cruise?

Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers had good road wins against the bad teams Clippers and Anaheim Kings and have finally passed the Knicks. They are ruining the television dream matchup of the Heat and Knicks.

New York Knicks. The Knicks had terrible loses to the Pistons and the Bucks. The good news is that the Knicks will still make the playoffs. Carmelo is bent because he thinks that everybody in Denver wants him not to succeed in New York. I guess when Denver said they still wanted to be friends after they parted. They didn't mean it.

Indiana Pacer. The Pacers highlight of their week was beating the Bulls in overtime. They will make the playoffs by default. Indiana's best college team Butler is petitioning the NBA to take this spot once their NCAA run end. David Stern is considering it.

Western Conference

Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers have started another winning streak. They're only blemish was Kobe getting dinged and Bynum's hit on the Timberwolves Beasley's who looked like he got hit by a truck. The good news is that Bynum only got suspended for two games. The bad news is that Bynum is considering playing safety for the NFL's Los Angeles franchise when they come to Los Angeles.

San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs had a good week after beating the Mavericks despite getting whacked by the Heat. Popovich is getting ready for the playoffs resting the starters. Not a good sign when Tim Duncan who is wearing down gets his shot blocked twice, by a guard. Even if it is Dwayne Wade.

Dallas Mavericks. They Mavericks are starting their annual spring swoon losing to the good teams Spurs and Trailblazers. The good news is that Stojakovic is back, the bad news is that Marion is out. Marion is the better player and plays defense. Not an even trade off.

Oklahoma City Thunder. The Thunder beating the Heat was very impressive. Kendrick Perkins in only his second game proved his worth despite not being in great game shape. The Thunder then proved they are mortal by losing to the lowly Raptors.

Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets had an outstanding road trip despite losing the last two games against the Magic and Heat. To say they have moved on from the Carmelo trade is an understatement.

Portland Trailblazers. The Trailblazers had good win against the Mavericks and are closing in on the Nuggets. But they blew a chance to get closer while losing to the Lakers who seem disinterested until the last five minutes.

New Orleans Hornets. The Hornets blew a game against the Celtics they should have won. The NBA wants the Hornets to make the playoffs, but won't admit that they don't want them to go far.

Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies had a light week because they didn't show up in getting blown out by the Knicks in New York. They say they don't need Rudy Gay because he shoots too much. But in reality they will get swept in the first round without him.
