Want to win the NC lottery or the Mega Millions jackpot? So do I! And I also feel we could have a real shot at it. The odds of winning is only 175.711.536 to 1. All it takes is a little bit of luck and if we play our all our lucky numbers we are sure to win. If we dont win the next drawing we just play the same ticket over and over again. No, seriously, Im pretty sure neither of us will win the jackpot. Ever. Is that because we were born on the wrong day? Birthdays tend to be a lucky number. At least our kids birthdays must be lucky numbers. As you probably already know, the Mega Millions doesnt care about our lucky numbers. Each and every drawing is a result of random and there is nothing we can do about that.

However, there are ways to maybe play the game a little bit smarter. For some reason, must lucky number tend to be in the lower region of the chart. The lower chart would be something like 1-31. Why? Because many lotto players are superstitious and play lucky numbers. Those are often calender numbers, such as birthdays and so on. Im not saying that you should avoid those numbers. Not at all. But you may want to consider a more balanced game.

A balanced game would be to divide the numbers of the playslip in half so on the lower half you would have number 1-28 and on the upper half there would be 29-56. Its very rare that the winning numbers all come from either the upper half or the lower half. So you may want to mix it up a bit.

All right, so we decide to play a balanced game. Are there any numbers or combinations to avoid? Yes, there are. Of course we may want to think twice before we use the combinations that was drawn last week. Its just not very likely that it will show up again. At least not two weeks after another. 1-2-3-4-5 or 52-53-54-55-56 may also be excluded. The odds that those combinations will be drawn feels like it would be less likely than to actually win the jackpot.

Is there anything else to consider before we hand in our winning playslip? Yes, there certainly is. Ever thought about hot and cold numbers? It seems as though some numbers often has been left out in the cold. Sometimes they arent drawn for months while some hot numbers show up rather frequently lately. As you can see there are a number of ways to actually play the lotto. In the above Ive only briefly mentioned a few methods. By excluding and considering you can dramatically increase the odds to win the lotto. There are many methods to do this and you can do it all by yourself.

However, By using a good and solid lotto system the essentials has been considered and you dont have to worry to much about it. The point is to narrow down those combinations that are the must unlikely until you are put in a place were the odds are in your favor. To win you still need luck but by playing it smart you may need less of it.
