National Aptitude Test or NAT is the entrance exam conducted by Society for Research & Development in Education, Delhi
. The test is a common entrance plus aptitude test examination, which is taken by students for taking admission in various undergraduate and post graduate courses. The courses are not only for management studies, but there are also many other professional, vocational and allied courses, admissions to which can be taken through NAT entrance examination. The NAT exams are conducted annually since 2005 and are being promoted by SRDEs Association of Higher Education Institutions. This year the NAT exam is scheduled for 23rd May, 2010, and the last date for the submission of forms is 7th may. The forms can be obtained from few of the selected branches of Syndicate Bank, and the last date till which students can obtain forms is 3rd may.
The NAT exam will be observed in twenty three sates of the country, making it accessible to a larger number of students. There are over 70 colleges and institutes, to which a student can seek admission in, after scoring in NAT exams. Some of the

The examination is in the form of an objective question- answer format, which the students have to complete in a fixed duration of time. The NAT examination, for undergraduate courses, tests the students on the basis of the following subjects:
General Knowledge
English Comprehension & Language
Numeric ability
Socio economic environment
Non- Verbal & Verbal Reasoning
The NAT exam is for 2.5 hours, making the students to attempt total of 170 questions of 170 marks, covering the above mentioned topics. The eligibility for the NAT exam for undergraduates is a pass out of senior secondary examination, or the students who have appeared for their 12th exam.
For post graduate level NAT entrance test, a students needs to have graduate degree or the students who have are in their last year of graduation can apply for NAT exam. There is no age bar; students of all ages can sit for the NAT entrance test. The NAT exam for PG courses is also for 2.5 hours, but the number of questions to be attempted is 200, corresponding to 200 marks for the entire test paper. The topics, on which the PG students would be tested in NAT exams are mentioned below, each contributing 40 marks to the paper:
English Language Comprehension

Some points, which a student must keep in mind, while applying for a NAT entrance test:
The candidate must fill the option for UG/ PG entrance test properly, if it is not mentioned, then the registration would be cancelled.
The form should be sent at the right address through speed post, courier or registered post, whichever way convenient.
A student should remember the important dates of submission
All the information provided in the form should be accurate, in case of some issues, candidates are held responsible for the information provided
No documents or certificates should be attached with the form, and the form should not be wrinkled or torn off from any where.
The admit cards can be downloaded seven days prior to the NAT exam from the website, www.srde.org, or if in case, a students unable to find his form online, then he should immediately check with the New Delhi office of SRDE, for the confirmation of form received.
NAT entrance test is a way to take admission in few of the top most
