A great many people have the idea that link building is something which is over one weekend, and then there are no more work in it.
But this cant be further from the truth, and in worst case it could be harmful to your website, blog or web shop. A link building is one thing that you always should make, just like you do with updates to your website. Maybe you even should do your link building more than you update your website, but this will of course depend on what type of website you have.
For example if you sit down one weekend and uses 4, 6, or 8 hours both Saturday and Sunday, to do your link building with the creation of links in link directories, writing on blogs and forums. Then when search engines comes by and see this large number of new links, then it's easy for them to figure out that you are trying to manipulate search results as a link building basically is.! If you make such manipulations with links, in the best case nothing in the worst case scenario, your blog or your shop removed from the search results. And it is a shop you do you're certainly aware that the removal of such as. Google is equal with no sale and hence no business. Therefore its important that you sit down and make a link building plan that would address this.
A link building plan could look like this and will take around. 10-15 minutes to an hour.

Commenting on blogs or in forums.
Wednesday:
Contact a webmaster to hear about link exchange.

Publish an article on what is relevant to your website.
Saturday:
Again commenting on blogs and when it's possible do it on relevant blogs.
Relevant blogs can be a broad concept, but let's say your website or blog is all about designing websites. Then may be relevant blogs blog which addresses WordPress themes, or to stay in same ballgame pages where you can download themes. Take a relaxing day off, does everyone else so that quite natural.
The week after you move around on the days so there isnt a pattern in what the keyword is "natural" the new links have look as though they are made naturally and not in an attempt to get a website further forward in the search results.
And keep an eye on. Google to see if they are registering your new links by using the webmaster tools, or search on Google with this search phrase link:yourdomain.com or use one of the many online tools to find backlinks or pagenrank checker.
So Remember link building should be made for as long as your website exist and, above all, do not overdo it.!
