Nba Tickets - Boston Celtics: Revamped And Ready To Go

The Boston Celtics opened the NBA season with no regrets

. They bested the Cleveland Cavaliers 95-89, with players Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett finishing with the most points. For the Celtics it was a sweet victory, especially after the disappointment of being denied a second straight title last March; Garnett had injured his knee and the defensive lineup was badly hampered.

The season has changed, however, and Garnett is back in true form, giving the Celtics reason to celebrate and plan for another shot at the title. Kevin Garnett told the Boston Globe, "I don't have any hesitations when it comes to playing. Health wise, I'm very decent and I'm very strong. It's a process. It's not a sprint. I'm a lot better at being patient with this."

His teammates are certainly holding out hope that Garnett will remain true to his word and continue bringing strength and star power to the court, just as he did last night against Cleveland. The Celtics will be looking to give plenty of teams a run for their money this season - you will want to be sitting court-side for an up close view of all of the NBA action with NBA tickets.

The Boston Celtics have long struggled against Cleveland. They lost 11 straight games in the city, and while some of them were close, some were downright blowouts. But the Celtics have found their strength and while Garnett remains a big part, other players were also in especially good form including Rajon Rondo and Anderson Varejao. Both team members looked as if they had spent the summer preparing for this win, exhibiting some exceptionally smooth shots in the hoop.

Coach Doc Rivers was pleased with the win, but also cautious. He was quoted in Sports Illustrated as saying, "I told them we have to be better than we played today." The Celtics' efficiency on the court had dwindled considerably towards the end of the night, a gamble that Coach Rivers doesn't want to be taking in future games, especially when it comes to meeting their big rivals: the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers and the Celtics have met in the NBA Finals 11 times, with the Celtics winning nine of those times. The L.A. team, however, is nothing to sniff at. They are only second in line behind the Celtics with 15 NBA Championship wins (the Celtics have 17).

Tuesday night's game was a definite victory for the Celtics, who needed a win to help boost team morale. But the Celtics should also be wary not to walk off the court too cocky. The Cavaliers had several slip-ups of the night, but they have a couple players who are certain to hold up their end of the bargain in future games: LeBron James and Shaquille O'Neal.

Boston fans will want to watch closely as the Celtics continue their quest on the court and as usual all eyes will be focused on the Celtic's own star player Kevin Garnett. Get tickets to see a live game today.
