Ne-Yo is a multi award winning multi platinum selling R&B music artist from the US

who as a writer and performer has been involved in some of the biggest R&B songs over the last few years. As a songwriter he penned the classic Mario ballad "Let Me Love You". While as an artist he has had hit after hit including the smash hit R&B singles "So Sick", "Closer" and "Because Of You" making Ne-yo one of the hottest R&B artists around. Ne-Yo`s videos and songs continue to dominate the Billboard charts making him one of the biggest selling R&B music artists in the world. This stylish charismatic performer continues to win awards and have hit singles in equal measure.

In early 2006 Ne-Yo released his debut album entitled "In My Own Words" through Def Jam. The first Ne-Yo video and song to be released as a single was the ridiculously catchy "So Sick" which debuted at number 1 and gave Ne-Yo his first big chart success as a solo artist. The accompanying Ne-Yo video was equally successful becoming a smash hit on MTV. Further Ne-Yo songs were released as singles to further enhance his reputation as a potential R&B superstar in the form of "Sexy Love" and "When You`re Mad". This album went onto sell more than 3 and a half million copies worldwide.

Ne-Yo then released his sophomore album in May 2007 entitled "Because Of You". The first Ne-Yo song to be released was the gorgeous Michael Jackson inspired title track which peaked at the number 2 spot in the Billboard Hot 100 charts. The stunning Ne-yo video that was released to accompany this smash hit song was rated one of the top R&B music videos of the year by fans and critics alike. Other classic Ne-Yo songs on that album were the beautiful melodic "Go On Girl" and the Michael Jackson inspired "Angel".

Ne-Yo then released a follow up entitled "Year Of The Gentleman" which debuted at number 2 in the Billboard 200 charts. The first Ne-Yo songs to be released as singles were the infectious songs "Closer" and "Miss Independent" both peaked at number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Both were accompanied by incredibly stylish Ne-Yo music videos which helped "Year Of The Gentleman" become a multi platinum selling album. It was also nominated for 5 Grammys at the 2009 Grammy Awards for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, Best Male R&B Vocal Performance, Best R&B Song, Best contemporary R&B Album and Album Of The Year.
