These are like mini-appraisals that your agent will perform, usually for free if you are listing your home with them. In these BPO's the agent will find three recently sold homes and three listed homes nearby that share similar characteristics (age, style, lot size, and square footage). These "comps" will help the agent determine the correct market price for your home.

Your home is your greatest asset. Many people have lost money in the past few years. Many people just really need to move for a job or family issue. Remember to keep your home's image up; fix all the little things that are broken. Your agent is not along in the fight, work together with them using social media. Keep the asking price reasonable by getting a BPO from your agent.
