Most American households are one step away from being homeless and as you watch the news, this is happening all over the country.

Network marketing is filling a void cause this by this high unemployment rate that we are experiencing in 2011. Another reason network marketing is flourishing is that many spirited entrepreneurs want to gain independence from the trap of the establishment. These individuals are looking for ways to create an income to supplement their current full-time job with the goal of eventually walking away from their 9 to 5 job. With this current environment, network marketing will grow exponentially.

How to select a good company with a product or products that has a wide appeal to the public:

There are thousands network marketing companies out there for you to select from and it is all a matter of you doing your due diligence in selecting the right company with the right product. In selecting a good company, you need to look at the length of time the company has been doing business and is it a reputable company. You also need to look at the leadership and the owner of the company to make sure that you can stand a 100% behind their organization.

When it comes to products, you must look at its appeal to the general public and who will be your customers or prospects. Also, look at the level of competition for your product. Is there another company that you have to compete with for a share of the market? There are a lot of companies out there pushing the same type of products to the general public and this will make it very difficult for you to build your business. Try to find a unique company with a unique product that has a wide appeal. This will offer you a better chance for success in the industry.

How to market the business that you have chosen in accordance with your personality:

Building your business once you have chosen the right fit for you will depend on the goal that you have set and how much effort you want to put into it. Self-education, perseverance and your personality will determine your success. With the right company and the right product or products, you can build an organization that will give you a chance to make lots of money or to at least meet your set financial goal. The most important factor in building your business is marketing. Network marketing is the game of numbers and failures. How many prospects can you reach and how many times will you fail or hear no before you attain success. This is where your perseverance comes in and your ability to reach a large number of prospects will determine your success. Your personality is another key factor because network marketers are friendly, confident, outgoing and caring people whom are out to help as many people as possible while helping themselves.
