Polio is an infectious disease that has existed since long. This disease is a dangerous disease because there is no cure. therefore eradication of the disease should be done with polio vaccination. The vaccine will give immunity to polio, then they will not be infected with polio and the chain of transmission will be interrupted.

The new research says, after a long process, scientists have discovered a new polio vaccine and can provide more effective protection than the polio vaccine that has been used for this. This latest polio vaccine has now been used in Afghanistan, India and Nigeria. Scientists believe this new vaccine could eradicate polio.

The disease is caused by three types of polivirus, namely type 1, type 2 and type 3. To date vaccines given to children targeted against all three types of viruses, or only one of them. Polivirus type 1 is the most virulent and often cause outbreaks. While type 2 is the most benign.
