Just like all the other golf club manufactures, Callaway golf is always creating new golf irons with new technology. 2010 is no different for Callaway golf. They have redesigned several golf iron models, but perhaps the best new Callaway golf iron is the Callaway Diablo Edge. The Callaway Diablo Edge irons are one of the hottest golf clubs in 2010. In fact, Golf Digest gave the Callaway Diablo Edge irons a gold star.

Maximized Distance

A lower, deeper CG is designed to make the sweet spot more accessible at lower impact locations. This generates longer, more consistent distance and improves accuracy for more greens in regulation.

Solid Impact Sole

Delivering smooth turf interaction, the sole is designed to mitigate the effects of heavy and thin shots and improve the impact location on the face for greater distance.

Just like a lot of other golf irons designed for the mid level golfers, the Callaway Diablo Edge irons on the strong side when it comes to loft. Their lofts are about two degrees lower resulting in longer shots. This is important to know because "clubbing" off your partner isn't what it use to be in the old days. Your 6 iron might have a different loft than his 6 iron.

What impressed most about this game-improvement set was the shot dispersion, regardless of the type of strike. Long-iron shots caught slightly fat on a soggy day still flew similar to that of a good strike. For an all out forgiveness set of irons there was an impressive soft feel off the face.

The irons gave impressive forgiveness on soggy ground thanks to the thick sole and large cavity. A soft feel off the face of the irons was a pleasant surprise.
