Nissan India Registers 1249 Nos Total Sales, Top Variant Nissan Micra Achieves Sales Of 1182 Units

Nissan Motor India Private Ltd has shown a speedy progress by achieving a total sales of 1249 nos for August 2010

. The company had registered 22 nos in August last year. Out of these 1249 nos, total 1182 units of the new Nissan Micra were sold in August 2010 as against the 928 units which were sold in July 2010. Luxury sedan (CBU), Nissan Teana, registered 21 nos in Aug 2010 while it had recorded 10 nos in Aug 2009. The Nissan X-trail has also shown a good sale by registering a total of 44 units as against 12 nos in Aug 2009. Two nos of Nissan 370Z, Nissans iconic sports car were also sold in Aug 2010. Till now the company has been successful in selling 4 units of 370Z. This model was launched in January, 2010.

Nissan Motor India Private Ltd experienced an overwhelming demand, almost over 65%, for Nissan Micra (XV), the top-end variant of Nissan in August 2010. Owing to this demand, NMIPL decided to re-align its initial production schedule to meet this growing need. The same has resulted in the increase in the delivery period. The company hopes to control and manage this delay in delivery in the coming few months. To cater to the demand between domestic and exports, Nissan has begun its second shift of production in August 2010 at its Oragadam manufacturing facility near Chennai. The company also hopes to start its exports soon during this month. It is also worth mentioning here that Nissan Micra sales order book has been constantly progressing and has received about 3600 bookings. The company also hopes to have a far-reaching impact across the country with its increasing dealership network.

The top variant of Nissan, Nissan Micra (XV) flaunts some unique features like keyless entry (i-key), push-button engine start-stop system and electric foldable mirror. The other captivating feature is the intelligent multi-display meter. This meter supplies drivers with real time fuel economy information, cruising range and outside temperature. Also, the driver power windows are fitted with one touch up/down feature along with a pinch guard. This top variant of Nissan also has category first driver airbags across all its variants.
