Big Day Out is an annual concert that includes music of different genres and it is so fun because it takes place outside in the month of January which is by far one of the best weather months on the Gold Coast. Magic Millions Carnival is one of the other summer activities that people on the coast and those in surrounding areas excitedly attend each year.

Sporting events are also very big on the Gold Coast and some of the annual events in this region include the Australia Ladies Master and the Australian Women's Hard Court. And if surfing is a sport that interests you, you will find many local surfing competitions throughout the year but none quite as spectacular as the Quicksilver and Roxy Pros which occur in the months of February and March.

As the year progresses you will find that May is also a fun month on the Gold Coast because is includes Blues on Broadbeach, a jazz festival like none you have ever experienced and a little bit later in the month you can come and check out the Boat Show down in Sanctuary Cove to see an incredible showcase of boats. You don't have to be looking to buy a boat to come down and look around. May is also a good time to take in some horseracing with the Prime Ministers Cup at the pinnacle of the season you will be delighted to experience this spectacular event. And then as the springtime rolls in the Indy 300 rolls into town and helps to fill the Gold Coast with excitement and fun.

Certainly the sports events are not limited to these annual events and with its 39 different sports on the Gold Coast, it is filled year-round with sports entertainment. While the Gold Coast beach is an incredible place it also lends itself to be an incredible place for sports and entertainment all year long.
