The three leaflets present in a poison ivy plant makes it easier to identify. If you encounter a woody shrub with 7 to 13 pairs of leaves, it is probably poison sumac. Unlike harmless sumac, poison sumac have bunches of green berries hanging down its shrub. Harmless sumac can be identified with red berry clusters hanging erect on the shrub. Poison sumac grow abundantly in wet, swampy places.
Food Allergy Intolerance
It is alarming to know that food allergies and food intolerances can attack large number of people. Oftentimes, there are people who do not now that they have allergies. When they eat foods that give them unwanted reactions, they wonder.
One thirds of individuals are saying that they actually have food allergies or they just control their family diet because a member of the family is believed to have acquired food allergy. When speaking about "latex" we are actually talking about natural rubber latex. This is made from the milky fluid of the rubber tree, Hevea brasiliensis.
Sometimes the term "latex" is used for some synthetic rubber. Nevertheless, it should be noted that allergic reactions do not occur with these. The proteins responsible for the allergic reactions to latex are absent in synthetic latex. Latex allergic reactions are caused by proteins in the natural rubber. The necessary amount of latex exposure to elicit an allergic response is not known. The advancement of sensitization to latex increases as the length of exposure to its proteins is raised.
