Despite its affordability, the NordicTrack ASR 700 elliptical machine got some innovative features

. It boasts of a front-drive magnetic technology which allows for smoother and more fluid pedaling. A total of 20 levels of resistance are available, providing challenge for everyone across diverse fitness levels.

Built-in 14 workout programs are available to help your burn unwanted calories and get you in shape fast. With a press of a button, the machine automatically adjusts itself to simulate various exercise forms. For instance, it can give you the same workout you get when climbing a hill. There's a heart rate monitor sensor on the moveable hand grips themselves. In other elliptical trainers, the sensor is usually placed on separate and fixed hand grips.

The ASR 700 takes pride in its compatibility to work with the innovative iFit Card Workout Technology. There are different cards available for this, depending on your goals. Some of them are designed for weight loss, endurance and others. Simply slide the iFit card into the machine's console, and a voice will guide and motivate you for a workout plan equivalent to 8 weeks.

Programs on the iFit card are designed by certified fitness instructors. The ASR 700's console simply remembers where you finish, and resumes from there when you come back to workout. It's just like having your own fitness instructor. Of course in the privacy of your own home, and without the added cost of actually hiring one.

A speaker system is integrated into the ASR 700, which is capable of playing tracks stored on your portable music device. Of course this isn't something new, as other elliptical machines also got such. But here's something they don't have: a couple of built-in video games to keep you entertained! Have fun while shedding pounds. Press buttons on the moving handgrips as you choose between "Fat Blocker" and "Calorie Destroyer".

The NordicTrack ASR 700 failed to include other features, despite having the innovative iFit Card Workout support or a couple of built-in games. The 18-inch stride length isn't adjustable, so very tall people may find that as a setback. In addition, there's no adjustment available for the incline. Parts can't be folded up for storage when the machine is not in use.
