Polem Beach
The Polem Beach is placed at the southern part of Goa. This beach is a beautiful place to take long walks and to have picnics. There are fishermen in this part of the metropolis who bring in their catch from the north. Those who get Goa flights surely go to this beach and spend some quiet time enjoying the sea waves and the beautiful scenery. There are stunning rock islands in the water that make the water look even more gorgeous.
Aswem Beach
The Aswem Beach is a quiet and beautiful coastline which is filled with visitors throughout the year and is very popular among those who visit the city for the first time. The sand on the shore is white and people are allowed to swim here. There are many roadside shops that sell food. Fast food is very popular over here. Also, the beach has little huts in which visitors are allowed to stay. People strive for getting cheap flights to Goa in order to visit this place, try out the food and stay at the beach houses.
Chapel of Sebastian
The beautiful Chapel of Sebastian was built in the year 1818. It has a number of relics that are the only evidence of the Goan Inquisition. The Goan Inquisition had been a terror for the people who lived in this destination for over 2 centuries. There is a beautiful crucifix in the church that was once in the palace of the Inquisition which was in Old Goa. Every November, a fair is conducted outside the church to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Livrament. Those who get flights to Goa make sure to visit this church. The church is small, yet so beautiful.
Archaeological Museum
The Archaeological Museum is placed just behind the Curch of St. Francis of Assisi. It is a fine-looking museum and has wonderful displays of Hindu statues and sculptures from many Hindu temple sites. The museum also displays a Sati stone where a woman would perform sati. There are two bronze statues one of Luis Vaz de Camoes who was a Portuguese poet and the other is of Afonso de Albuquerque who was the first governor of the beautiful conurbation of Goa.
