Plants have been around much longer than humans

The brand's name is a mix of Nature and luxe, French for luxury, and this shows us clearly the style of product they are attempting to sell. Nuxe was set up over 20 years ago by Aliza Jabs, a French woman who had become interested in aromatherapy and phytotherapy. Her father was a trained pharmaceutical researcher, and was no doubt instrumental in encouraging Aliza to follow her dream of using plants to develop skin care range.

The Nuxe philosophy is based on five key beliefs. First is that nature is the primary source of research, and considering the diversity available, there is no shortage of raw material. Creating something new comes next; while nature might hold the key to these amazing cosmetics formulae, it is remains hard work to discover them and to apply them properly. Third is the company's commitment to thorough evaluation and testing of the products to ensure their safety and effectiveness. Fourth, Nuxe believes that just because a product works does not mean that it has to be costly and exclusive; if a product is not expensive to produce, it is sold at a reasonable price. And finally, there is that elusive factor that they name sensoriality, or the manner in which it excites the senses. This manifests itself in all things from the look, feel and aromas of the creams to the names they give their products, which is intended to add up to a pleasant experience for all who use them.
