Toyota came out with its gloves after massive recalls which could have crippled the company financially and scathing media reports about the Japanese auto makers' irresponsibility. They were kid gloves, though, and Toyota has used them to steadily and quickly rebuild trust and sales.

So pricing vehicles competitively has become essential for Toyota and once again they have succeeded. The 2011 Toyota Sienna competes in price and features with the 2011 Honda Odyssey, although Odyssey does claim to be "cool". Maybe that cool factor is worth an extra $2.070 in price, but I certainly wouldn't bet on it.

Oak Park Prius and Sienna buyers alike will appreciate the value of the Toyota minivan. The base 2011 Sienna sports a 3.5-liter V6 and a base price of $26,510 with destination charge. The 2011 Honda Odyssey with the same engine starts at $28,580.

So what about little differences and features? Well, they are surprisingly similar in features and without a point-by-point comparison it would be hard to judge. Of course, we also have to consider things like warranty and reputation. Again, both are similar, but Toyota has gone that extra mile recently, so a couple of extra points there.

Tri-zone air conditioning, a Star Safety system, 17-inch, five-spoke alloy wheels and much more highlight the new Sienna. It also has styling that's more car-oriented that your average minivan, making it more attractive beyond the soccer mom crowd.

Some fun colors are available beyond the normal silver/burgundy minivan spectrum. With fun names like Predawn Gray Mica, Sandy Beach Metallic, Salsa Red Pearl, Cypress Pearl and South Pacific Pearl in addition to the normal silver, black and white, there's something to express every personality.

That's something the 2011 Toyota Sienna doesn't lack - personality. Oak Park Prius dealers will want to show customers all the ways they can make this vehicle their own. The Sienna can seat up to eight, so space will never be an issue.

Even pre-owned models of the Sienna are popular, as your Oak Park used Toyota dealer can tell you. Although they may not be as sleek, they are certainly as reliable and a terrific value. Fuel economy for the 2011 Sienna is 18 mpg city and 24 mpg highway, not bad for a vehicle this size. It's strange that numbers like this don't sound hugely impressive anymore, but with all the hybrid vehicles on the road having numbers in the 30s and even into the 40s, 20s don't quite have the "wow" factor they used to. These are good numbers, though. Oak Park used Toyota customers will be happy with the numbers on pre-owned Siennas as well.
