Ferrari the black prancing horse will be in Indian showrooms this April according to media reports. The supercar maker has tied up with the Shreyans Group, which will be its only distributor in India. The first showroom is all set to come up in New Delhi followed by Mumbai.
Apart from the Ferrari dealership the Shreyans group deals in high-end luxury goods and is also the sole distributor for Porsche in the country. Legendary models like the 458 Italia, the upcoming four-wheel-drive Ferrari FF etc are set to take the Indian supercar market by storm and benefit Ferrari's sales figures.
Maybach if Ferrari is bringing its prancing horse to the sub continent then the good why should the old Mercedes-Benz be far behind. The company has re-launched its super-luxury saloon brand Maybach in India.
Maybach will be available in two top-of-the-line variants Maybach 57 S and Maybach 62. While the 57 S gets a 611bhp 6.0-litre V12 AMG engine the 62 is powered by a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V12, generating 537bhp. The Maybach 57 S is priced at Rs 4.85crore (ex-showroom Delhi) and the Maybach 62 comes with a price tag of Rs 5.1crore (ex-showroom Delhi).Jaguar Want a compact Jaguar? Wait till 2015 when the company enters the compact executive market. The company is looking for a small sports car and a saloon to increase volumes. The company is also looking for smaller models at a lower price point. Something like a BMW 3-series and Audi A4 is what the company might be targeting at. According to a popular auto magazine the new models will be based on a new platform and are likely to be rear-wheel drive models with running gear and suspension similar to XF and XJ Cars models.
