While Nizamuddin-Chennai Rajdhani Express (No.12434) runs on Wednesdays and Fridays, New Delhi-Chennai Duronto Express runs on Tuesdays and Saturdays. There are some other trains, which run only on certain days of the week. The train takes 28 hours to 36 hours to travel from Delhi to Chennai.
