The Means Of Transport From Dwarka To Delhi

. Delhi is the capital city of India. Dwarka is a popular holy city of the Hindus which is included in the Char Dham and has immense importance among Hindus. A lot of pilgrims visit Dwarka every year. Delhi is connected to almost all corners of India via rail, road and air and no different is the case between Dwarka and Delhi.

The approximate distance between Dwarka and Delhi is about 1093 km. The easiest and the most convenient way to reach Delhi from Dwarka is by air. Though there are no direct flights available from Dwarka to Delhi, a lot many flights are available from the nearest airport to Dwarka which is at Porbandar. Dwarka is located at about 98 km away from the airport at Porbandar. Trains, taxis and bus services are available from Dwarka to reach the airport at Porbandar. The travel time between Dwarka and Porbandar is about 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Traveling by road though not advisable will take about 20 hours and 30 minutes to reach Delhi from Dwarka. The recommended route is through the National Highway 27. The important places covered during the travel include Jamnagar, Palanpur, Pindwara and Ajmer before reaching Gurgaon and Delhi.

Private taxis and cabs are available to travel from Dwarka to Delhi. The travel time taken by car is about 19 hours to reach Delhi from Dwarka. The charges range from 25000 to 35000 rupees round the trip depending upon the type of vehicle chosen by the traveler.

Delhi is well-connected from Dwarka via railway lines. The only feasible train from Dwarka to reach Delhi is the Uttaranchal Express No: 19565 that departs from Dwarka at 8:15 am and reaches New Delhi at 10:40 am taking a travel time of about 26 hours and 25 minutes. This train provides service only on Fridays.

There are no direct bus services available to reach Delhi from Dwarka.

Journey by air to Delhi from Dwarka, though not direct is considered to be the most convenient mode of transportation between the two places. Train journey will take about two days to reach Delhi from Dwarka, but is economical and suited for families and group travelers. Journey by car or taxi from Dwarka to Delhi is only feasible for young travelers who like to drive and is a strict no for the elderly and families that travel with kids.

However, there are suggestions and discussions carried out by the state government of Gujarat to connect Dwarka in a better and efficient manner with the other cities in the country, since it is fast growing as a major pilgrimage center in India.
