Oprah-will She Be Visiting The Great Barrier Reef?

Oprah has already committed to film two shows at the Sydney Opera House in mid December

and though it has been rumored that she will do at least one more show in the Outback this location has not been disclosed. Operators in the Tropical North Queensland area want a piece of the action also and have been doing everything that they can to help encourage and entice the TV superstar to spend at least couple of days in the Great Barrier Reef/ Cairns region.

The stakes are large as it is expected that millions of people will be watching Oprahs visit to Australia with viewers expected to tune in from various countries around the world. By showcasing the Tropical North Queensland proprietors they are wishing for a much needed boost in tourism to the area and are offering Oprah deluxe accommodations, yachts, and anything else that they could think of to attract her to this exotic region.

It is currently reported that quite a few of Oprahs staff members have been poking around the area and taking photos however no word yet on whether this will be one of Oprahs many stops when visiting Australia. Although, Australians are encouraged by her TV statement about splashing around in the Great Barrier Reef, they are still concerned that this fantastic area might be overlooked.

All of Australia is awaiting the talk show Queens arrival and are scurrying to make sure that if she does come to the area she will have the opportunity to film the region in the best possible light. Of course, December is a fantastic month to visit the Queensland as it is right in the middle of their summertime with many incredible outdoor activities to catch on film.

it'll be a wonderful opportunity for Queensland and all of Australia to genuinely showcase this location to the whole world. Oprah is definitely doing a lot for this region by showcasing the entire region on an 8 day tour, filming 3 shows from Australia , and bringing an entourage of 300 viewers and 50 staff members along for the ride. It should be an excellent opportunity for this area to really present itself to the world. Most people only think of kangaroos and koalas when they think about Australia so this show should be a real eye opener for those individuals who really dont yet understand what the Tropical North Queensland region really has to deliver.
