Options for Vietnam Air Ticket from China

Options for Vietnam Air Ticket from China

It is convenient for going to other Asian countries from China. You can either take buses or trains or airplanes to these countries after you have finished your china travel. For example, you can take trains for 10 hours from Nanning or 38 hours from Beijing (need to transfer in Guilin though). Also you could take a bus for RMB 148/person from Nanning to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. It could also be a part of your Guilin Tours, as it is 450km as from Vietnam. And along the tour from Guilin to Vietnam, you can choose from passing the border from Nanning or Beihai. The below is the information for Vietnam routes of airplanes from China.

From Beijing. If you are in Beijing, there are almost ten flights of China Southern Airlines to Hanoi every day. The price is from RMB 1300 yuan to 1800 yuan. But these flights are usually connecting flights which take 7 to 10 hours to arrive at the destination, while the direct flights cost about 4 hours. You could also choose Singapore Airlines or Hongkong Express which are also generally connecting flights. If you want to save time, then choose the direct flights: VN901 flight by Vietnam Airlines or CZ4705 flight by China Southern Airlines. Both flights take off at 3:30pm in Beijing Capital Airport Terminal 2 and arrive at Hanoi around 6:30pm. But most of the time, as far as I know, the second flight is often two times expensive than the first one. To Hu Zhi Ming City from Beijing, It usually costs at least 8 hours. Other than Singapore Airlines which cost RMB almost 4000 yuan, the air ticket is oftern RMB 1500 to 1700 yuan.

From Shanghai. From Shanghai to Hanoi, the most flights are directed ones operated by Dragonair (Hong Kong Dragon Airlines Limited). The price is around RMB 1800 yuan. You could also choose Shanghai Airlines which take off at 10:20pm, arrive at 01:00 the next day. And the flights of China Eastern Airlines operate at almost the same time. The Vietnam Airlines also provide direct flights which take off at 3:25pm and arrive at 5:55pm and the price is around RMB 1750 yuan. Except for Dragonair flights which are in Hong Qiao Airport, all other airlines to Hanoi are in Pu Dong Airport. From Shanghai to Hu Zhi Ming City, the most convenient and inexpensive flight would be the ones operated by Cathay Pacific Airways. For example, the CX367/CX765 cost about 7 hours and reach the destination at 6:05 pm. The price is only around RMB 1500 yuan, which is the lowest price, especially compared with Singapore Airlines.

From Guilin or Nanning. From Guilin to Hanoi, all the flights are operated by China Southern Airlines. But I do not recommend, because all these three flights are connecting ones and you need to spend at least 6 hours to reach the destination. You can also take flights from Nanning to Hanoi or Ho Chi Ming City by Air China, China Southern Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, or Vietnam Airlines. The fastest flight only cost 40 minutes from Nanning to Hanoi. I recommend travelers to take the direct flights by Air China from Nanning to Ho Chi Ming City. The reason is that if you go to this city from Nanning by buses and trains, you need to spend 50 hours on the road. However, if you take by flight, it only cost you about 2hours.

If you want to compare the details of these flights to Vietnam, you could go to our China Airlines section which includes all these flights and the price is varying with different days.
