My friend is trying to organise an event in our local town and Ive got to admit I
think shes causing a lot of hassle for herself but Ive said Ill help out as I dont want her to struggle on her own. For some reason none of our friends are helping out so I feel compelled to do so. I assume its because they dont want to take up there time and they dont believe in it which is a shame.
I said that Id sort out stuff like toilet hire prices. Im not really used to toilet hire prices and whats good and whats not but my uncle has a portable toilets hire company so I thought the least I could do was ask him what he can do. Im hoping that he will donate the service for free as its an event to raise money for charity. I was thinking if I say to him well advertise his company whilst at the event hell do it. In addition to him obviously being my uncle.
Im pretty sure shes found quite a few bands who will do the gig and not charge as they want the publicity which I cant blame them for. It also, always looks good if people put a lot of hard work into a fund raising event.
Im not too sure she knows where shes doing it yet and Im worried no where will allow her permission to host it on their land. I originally thought it could be hosted on the green in the town but the problem is the council are being really funny about it and I dont think they will allow it.
Ive told her in regards to food the best thing she can do is get food vans to pay her a pitch fee so that they can see food to everyone. Then the money has been donated to charity and the food companies are happy as theyre getting money.
I really hope for her sake that it goes without a hassle or problem as shes working really hard on it and I know shes really passionate about it.
