Orlando Mercedes dealer will offer great safety in 2012 SLK convertible

The new SLK Class is coming to Orlando Mercedes dealers.Mercedes fans will see the same 228hp, 3.0L V6 stats from the C300 Luxury and Sport sedans in the SLK300 Roadster. The SLK350 Roadster, however, will feature an improved 300hp, 3.5L V6, which can go from 0-60 in 5.4 seconds. And it is going to look slick.

Along with the SLK's amazing looks, agility and nimble maneuverability of a sports car, the SLK class will also offer open air driving and the ability to change from coupe to open roadster in 22 seconds. But that's not all. The SLK Class will also feature exceptional levels of comfort and safety for drivers inOrlando. Mercedes-Benz drivers are used to great comfort and safety levels, and the new SLK Class will not disappoint either.

Attention Assist and Adaptive Brake

Included standard in the SLK Class are Attention Assist and Adaptive Brake. Attention Assist monitors the attentiveness of the drivers, and can often warn of overtiredness. Adaptive Brake is actually a combination of many features that can help keep drivers out of trouble. This includes the application of emergency brake pressure to avoid a front-end collision, and also the prevention of the "roll back" that occurs when a car accelerated from a stopped position while stopped on a steep incline. Drivers have been dealing with the "roll back" on hills for as long as cars have been around, and it is nice to see Mercedes addressing this issue with the Adaptive Brake.

Bi-Xenon Headlamps

In Orlando, Mercedes Benz GLK drivers with the GLK350 have the optional inclusion of Bi-Xenon headlamps, which offer a brighter and whiter light that helps deliver much better visibility. In the 2012 SLK Class, these lights are also included. The light offered by these lamps is much closer to normal daylight, as opposed to the blinding light often included with automobiles.

Electronic Stability Program

When driving aroundOrlando, Mercedes C-Class owners have been thankful to have the Electronic Stability Program included in their vehicles. The ESP continually monitors the driving inputs and the vehicle's motion to help keep it going in the intended direction. Thankfully, 2012 SLK buyers will also have this excellent safety feature. Normally when someone looks at a sports coupe, all they are thinking about is how nice it looks.
