For example, when performing routine maintenance of a computer system much fewer employees would be required than when upgrading hardware or software throughout the system or conducting urgent repairs. It will be more challenging for a business to provide their own staff on such occasion and would not be cost effective to employ staff for such eventuality. Conversely, outsourced IT support can simply allocate more of its staff to that particular company when an event arises that requires immediate attention and additional support.
