Outsourcing Continues In Times Of Boon Or Bane by:Benjamin Frank
Outsourcing is everywhere
Outsourcing is everywhere. To outsource is a necessary evil irrespective of which country we are talking about. This is one reason why offshore development has become has an important aspect of every business. Every business wants to bring down their costs so that they can increase their profit margins. This is possible only in the outsourcing model which has been adapted by various companies across various verticals.
Even though the Barack Obama administration might have tried to win votes over promises of lowering the outsourcing percentage but when implemented in real case scenario they very well know that it is impossible to implement. if in times of recession we would see any business then it has to incorporate the offshoring model. Or else we can conclude that there is little or no business. When already people are running low on funds they would like to bring down costs even when they are buying their daily commodities. So buy American is something that would not work in such times. Technology is something which always comes cheaper when done offshore by third world countries who are ready to do more for less money. This is any company who does offshore development would have much higher chances of winning a new deal.
We might have heard about various scandals like Satyam and Co but still this does not shake the trust of already formed partnerships with other companies in countries like India and china. The outsourcing partnerships built over high quality deliveries and excellent service in terms of all factors makes them much more favorable than getting it done by local software companies. If offshore development is feeling the low than this only implies that the overall business is bleeding. The outsource factor is here to stay in times of boom as well as recession. We might say that it become dormant when businesses are lying low but we cannot do without it completely. Apart from technology other businesses also cut down on outsourcing when they do not have much demand and supply. Some industrial units even shut down some parts so that they do not have to spend extra resources.
But we all surely know that as soon as the world economy would start to see the sunshine, outsourcing would also shine again and we would see a lot of offshore development again. The coming months would see the blues as we can expect many job cuts and other stringent regulations to curb the overall depression. But as predicted this cycle of economic depression would end soon and we would see world economy rising up steadily and again reach a high point in the history. Till then let us continue to beat the blues and see the best possible alternatives to keep going.
