Most women will experience ovarian cysts at some point in life

. However, most of the cysts despite having some pain associated with it or none at all, will usually disappear on their own within a few weeks or one or two menstrual cycles. A cyst is a fluid filled sac that may develop on a woman's ovaries at which point it becomes known as an ovarian cyst. One of the options available to women for treating ovarian cysts once they are diagnosed is surgery. One method that is used involves an abdominal incision and then a medical instrument is used to drill holes in the sacs to trigger ovulation. The main issue with surgery is that it is not a long term solution to preventing cysts from re-occurring and usually involves additional pain and some side effects.


Birth control pills may also be prescribed. You need to find a way to deal with the root cause of the ovarian cysts.

Another approach to treating ovarian cysts is the natural or holistic approach which continues to work well for many women and it is something you can start incorporating into your lifestyle in order to start experiencing relief from these cysts. With the holistic approach, it is important to increase your water intake as well as you fiber intake.
