Ozzfest Tickets - Ozzfest Is Back And Better Than Ever

After taking a hiatus in 2009 and hosting just one Dallas gig in 2008

, Ozzy Obsourne's Ozzfest is back and better than ever in 2010. Billboard chatted with the oft-mumbling rocker, who said, "We're bringing it back, and...if it takes off again, fine. If it doesn't, that's also fine because it's been great for us. I'm really happy we've been able to launch new bands into the arena; a good few many bands got access from the OZZFest. But since we didn't do it, there have been a few other festivals pop up." Ozzy was likely referring to similarly-themed music festivals like this year's Uproar Tour and the three-year-old Mayhem Festival.

Ozzfest 2010 kicks off in San Bernardino, Calif. on Aug. 14 and will make stops in Tinley Park, Ill.; Burgettstown, Pa.; Hartford, Conn.; Camden, N.J. and Mansfield, Mass., and fans can get Ozzfest tickets from StubHub. Ozzy Osbourne will headline Ozzfest 2010 along with Motley Crue and Rob Halford, while DevilDriver, Nonpoint, Black Label Society, Drowning Pool and others will serve as supporting acts.

Ozzy Osbourne and Motley Crue last hit the road together for a memorable tour in 1984, and Osbourne told Billboard online that he is excited for the band to participate in Ozzfest. "They're good old friends of mine. The 1984 tour...was the most f***ing crazy tour I ever did in my life. I can't remember it, but I remember I used to wake up every morning or come around and think, 'What the f*** went on last night?' And as the day went on I got informed about that the craziness was," Ozzy recalled, adding, "But I can tell you right now I don't think (OZZFest) will be a rerun of the '84 tour, 'cause we've all matured a bit." Ozzy's wife Sharon will undoubtedly be happy to hear that!

Ozzfest debuted back in 1996 and featured acts like Slayer, Black Sabbath, Marilyn Manson, Tool, Megadeath, Limp Bizkit, Rob Zombie, Godsmack and more before taking a hiatus. The 2008 edition of Ozzfest featured headliners Metallica and Ozzy Osbourne and grossed almost $3.5 million, drawing nearly 30,000 to Pizza Hut Park in Dallas, according to producers AEG Live and Sharon Osbourne.

The revival of Ozzfest is in conjunction with Ozzy Osbourne's 10th studio album, Scream. The album arrived on June 22 and will see Osbourne embarking on an 18-month solo world tour. The busy musician is following up his best-selling autobiography I Am Ozzy, which arrived earlier this year, with another literary pursuit and is currently working with ghost writer Chris Ayres.

Fans of the Ozzfest founder can also look forward to a documentary about his life and career. Billboard reports that Ozzy's son Jack is currently working on the doc. "He's just in the process of editing. He won't let me see anything yet, but he's got some very interesting people he's interviewed. The only thing I said to him was, 'Jack, don't be all nice. Put some people who don't particularly care for me in there.' I'm not afraid of that," Ozzy revealed.
