I recently bought a Kenwood DNX5140 (from 6th Avenue Electronics, which actually sent me an updated DNX5160 - w00t), iPod cable, and union leadership Scosche dash kit and unity, the PAC SWI-JACK.
Package: SWI-JACK (Jack stands for JVC, Alpine, Clarion and Kenwood, in case you did not know) came well packaged with instructions included. Very easy to get cut is needed.
Directions: directions that come in a package. This is not a kick in the company. They even have a piece of paper in a box that tells you to make your life easier by giving the last instructions from their website.
This is actually very good advice.
The instructions on the website, although at first it seemed a bit confusing you through the installation process with ease. The only thing left instructions for my truck (2004 F150) has specific guidelines for the cable connector into the blue box. It's easy to find, but if you go to directions, I think it must be complete.
Installation: After reading the instructions several times to be sure I was not missing anything, it's very simple wiring. I had just under 3 wires on the Scosche harness. Everything I needed to do more joints were harness cable to the receiver.
NOTE: Be sure to check pin position on the seat. Guidelines say that attach to, but color of wire on the strip is not always what you expect.
Programming: OK, I admit it took me a few (read: 10 meters or so) to get it programmed. This was mainly because I was trying to decide what one of my keys have wanted. Volume up and down, it's easy enough, as the source, but the scan button is a bit difficult for me. Once I have something I like (it looks for station tuning, and goes to the next song on a CD or iPod), I stopped messing with him.
Delay: I have read many complaints about it, so I'm really not sure what to expect. I was a very slight delay in opening the main volume up or down, or switch songs, etc.
Is it annoying? Yes, I think a little. I'm sorry I buy it? Not in the least.
After reading horror stories can have my expectations so low that it would be impossible for me to dislike, but the fact is that half a second (if that), the delay is simply bothers me that bad. I think after I bought it a few days / weeks I will not even notice.
Recommendation: If you have a stereo, but after the market still want to use your steering wheel, it's a way to do it. Buy the product and try to delay some stress. I have, and I do not regret at all.

Detailed instructions for just about any car you would want to install this on. Programming was straightforward once it was installed and powered on. Factory steering wheel buttons now work as good or better with the Kenwood than with the OEM stereo.
VERY SLOW
I just hooked up the PAC SWIJACK Interface to a aftermarket jvc KW-NX7000BT in my 2004 grand jeep cherokee overland, the install was ok and setup just very unhappy with the volume button it takes way to long to respond and when it does it goes very fsst. I'm wondering if they make a different Interface that has a better react time?

I had this device installed in a 2007 Honda Pilot, to go along with my JVC KW-AVX820 Double-DIN DVD/CD Multimedia Receiver with 7-Inch Widescreen Detachable Touch Panel Monitor, Bluetooth, and Full-Speed USB Port. Escalade Steering Wheel Control
I installed this unit into my Cadillac Escalade myself to a JVC AVX820 head unit. Works perfectly. three things you need to know. 1. How to hook the green wire up to you vehicles steering wheel control. This can be tricky, but if I figured it out you can. 2. How to read. Even the generic directions are simple, but read them a couple times to understand how to program this unit. 3. This is something I learned after I put everything back together. Program it with the car off, on ACC, and with the engine started. It remembers all three positions, and you can individually program each. For example with the car off, the source button can control source selection, but with the car on the source button can control muting the receiver. Weird, but cool at the same time.
