Project Management covers the complete development of the project from delineating
the important sponsors, stakeholders and key contacts for the project sign off and funding. Feasibility studies and focus groups for proper project development plans, scope, timeline, budget , data dictionaries and work breakdown structure dictionaries to lessons learned and closure of the project are delineated.
Even more critical to a projects success is the Risk Analysis Register, which takes into account all levels of risk from high to medium to low level and outlines measure to be taken as well as proper establishment of a separate contingency funding and what percentage of the budget to set aside in this fund that shall not be part of the project budget.
PRINCE2 courses are available from accredited training organizations that are listed and organized by the APM Group. The PRINCE 2 template is freely downloadable from the OGC web site. Tests for the certification exams are given every month. There are two exams that must be passed. The first is the Foundation Exam which has these components:
Multiple choice
75 questions per exam
5 questions are for research purposes and do not count
passing is 50% or 35 out of 70
It is a closed book test

9 questions per exam with 12 points per question which is 108 total points
2.5 hours timed for the test
Open book with manual only allowed
Passing score is 59 out of 108 or 55%
Often PRINCE2 2009, is used for by large projects with several project managers on the project team who are assigned to various parts of the project so that the multilevel documentation and records required in the program can be generated. Often this is the reason many project managers of small projects shy away from using this software.
