Everyone knows that pairing a the right wine with a meal can turn a mediocre dish into something great, and the same holds true with films as well

. Do you think Sigourney Weaver would be caught dead sipping on a moscato while her crew is being ravaged by a beast from another world? Of course she wouldnt, and neither should you. So make sure when you pour yourself a drink it somehow matches the movie youll be watching.

Action Movies

The tough and gritty of the movie world deserves the same form the drink. Your run of the mill action flicks hardly differentiate themselves for one another, and neither to lite beers. Sip on a few cold ones, more if the movie is not up to snuff, to help take the edge off.

Romantic Comedies

These are harder to classify for the drink greatly depends on the gender of the viewer and where they happen to be. If you happen to be a female from the age of 13 21 you should not be reading this list because that is illegal, but if you are from 21 44 then grab your favorite fruity vodka, some extremely sugary mixer, and your girlfriends as you cuddle up to a Meg Ryan production. If you are feeling classy then go ahead and make yourself a Cosmo. Guys, sorry if you are stuck with the aforementioned group you will need something strong - something really strong. Might I suggest absinthe or Wild Turkey bourbon, straight of course. If you are being forced into this by your significant other than suck it up, pop open a chilled fruity white wine, and make the best of it.

Anything British

Their sense of humor is weird, or so Americans say, but a stiff drink can help loosen you up to enjoy their wacky sense of. Whatever it is. Grab some tonic water and Beefeater Gin. The gin is better than it sounds, at least by a little bit, and pouring a tall Gin & Tonic with a wedge of lime will drastically help your mood as you appreciate our cousins from across the pond.

Crime Dramas

The dark and suspenseful mood will be ruined by anything sweet or clear, so stay away from vodka, gin, or anything with juice in it. To really get into the mood find a scotch if you have the stomach for it and have it over rocks or with water.

Anything Based in the 20s

The timeless era deserves a timeless drink. A jigger of your favorite bourbon, vermouth, bitters, and a cherry is all you need to make a Manhattan. Stir it with ice, pour straight, garnish with the cherry, and enjoy the deliciously smooth beverage with equally smooth gentlemen and ladies on the screen.
