Pareek is a brahmin caste found in rajasthan.

The Pareeks are found in huge numbers in Bikaner,churu,nagore,sri dungargarh,sandwa,jaipur,jodhpur,ajmer.

But now the numbers are increasing in the cities like,mumbai,delhi,chennai,bangalore,kolkatta and many other small indian cities.

The main reason for their immigration is due to lack of development of rajasthan state.

The Politicians have taken the toll in this state and due to huge corruption there is little development done in this rich state.

the other reason is ofcourse the literacy. The antiquted thinkings like marriages of childrenin young age and many other factors too affect the state's development.

This reasons have made PAreek's migration to metro cities fortheir livelihood.

Pareek are constituent of saraswat brahmins. They are broadly classified into Tiwari,Vyas,Pandya,Purohit,Bohra,Joshi.

Famous personality Nathumal Pareek(the wrestler) once challenged KIng Kong and has won many prestigious awards all over the country.

The Pareek's in chennai have a formed a organisation named PAREEK SEVA SAMAJ.

This organisation is doing a great job in protecting their ancestors property. The forefathers once bought a land in chindadripet. And now there stands a great building reflecting the blood and sweat of this organisation member who have done done the real hardwork for bringing up the name of Pareek around the country.
