Parking At Stansted Airport Can Be Hassle Free

As the third busiest airport in the United Kingdom

, Stansted is always bustling with activity and parking is a major concern. However, there are many different alternatives to parking your own vehicle at the airport.

Planes, Trains, & Automobiles (and busses)

With trains departing every fifteen minutes, they offer much in the way of convenience and comfort. The Stansted Airport rail station is below the terminal building and tickets may be purchased at the station or in advance. Regular service links the airport to east and central London as well as the Midlands and eastern England. Trains departing to London are every fifteen minutes with approximately forty six minutes in travel time directly to Liverpool Street. Tottenham Dale is about thirty five minutes away. Connections to Cambridgeshire are hourly and it's about thirty five minutes to Cambridge, two and a half hours to Leicester, and three and a half hours to Birmingham. Connections are also available North and to Scotland.

The London Stansted airport is situated conveniently off M11 motorway and the short stay park, right next to the terminal, is ideal for short stays of under twenty four hours. The long stay park can be reached in a few minutes via a courtesy bus. There is free motorcycle parking in bays designated for that use in Zone Q of that long stay park. They may not be parked any where else.

Pick up and drop off is permitted at the terminal forecourt but no parking is allowed due to security reasons. Any unattended cars will most likely be towed, resulting in charges when the vehicle is retrieved. Picking up passengers requires you use the short stay park.

Car rental agencies, who each have desks on the arrival concourse, and cars may be checked in or rented from that area. The bus and coach station at the Stansted Airport is situated opposite the main airport terminal entrance. The ticket desk is open from 06:00 until 01:00 or on board the bus itself. Be aware that not all buses and coaches are wheelchair accessible.

Additionally, there is convenient valet parking that is competitively priced. This enables patrons to simply drop their vehicle off at the terminal forecourt when you depart, and retrieve it from that point upon your return.

Convenience

With lots of different options in parking and transportation to and from the Stansted Airport, it is convenient to travel here to stay or as a stopping off point. There are plenty of choices in nearby hotels to fit most budgets as well.

It is owned by the BAA along with Spanish Ferrovial group. Most of the major (as well as smaller) airlines pass through Stansted Airport each year as they carry over twenty five million passengers in and out of the airport and there are plans to make the airport even bigger.
