Patch Cables also known as the Patch Cords are cables which connect two optical devices

. The patch cable is optical or an electric cable which is used for the above purpose. It is usually in a different color than the other cables. This helps in differentiating the Patch cable from the rest of the other wires. These wires can be as short as 3 inches to patch an optical device.
