Path of the Gods
When You book a nice apartment in Positano Apartment in Positano - Amalfi Coast, with us You'll realize how beautiful and magic this town is.
There is much confusion about the definition of the Path of the Gods. Some call it the path S. Maria del Castello, Forestry, Head Wall, Bomerano, others were taken care of, add a "High" and then call the route Bomerano Nocella: Path of the Gods "Low".Personally, I follow the tradition which says that what is true from a Bomerano Nocella, and I also believe that this course, among those in contention, is as entitled to be called the Path of the Gods, especially the section that runs from cave biscuit Nocella, interesting and exceptionally scenic from start to finish.Council runs from east to west in order to get in front of the tip of the peninsula and Capri. The passage of Colle Serra (580m) is reached from Praiano or Bomerano (630m). From Praiano You can also enter on the Path of the approximately 500 m downstream of Colle Serra, passing the Convent of San Domenico.
If you come up from Praiano, it is worthwhile to walk a few hundred meters towards Bomerano, beyond Colle Serra, to the pinnacle on which you can see what remains of a plaque in memory of Justin Fortunato seems to have been the one who has given the name to this path.In the first section of the trail Colle Serra> Nocella there are two alternative paths more or less the same length (1.5 km): - high option: the saddle climb through the side of a ruin of limestone and then proceed more or less share of the 600m to finally get to meet the other path at an altitude of 545m. - Base option: it is accessed down a few meters from the saddle until you find the track that comes from Praiano (there's a fountain on the left), turn right to the junction (520m) with the path away from Praiano Convent St. Dominic after a section more or less at high altitude climbs in the last stretch until you reach the path above.
From this junction on the vegetation changes quite dramatically and you pass by a few shrubs and grass (you can often see goats and sheep grazing) at a spot more dense, rich oak, arbutus, heather and rosemary. Following a very tortuous path, full of ups and downs, past the imposing Grarelle Vallone and reach the village of Nocella (440m). From here you can get off on the Amalfi (about 1500 steps) or proceed to Arienzo Montepertuso cemented along a path first and then the stock of recent construction.
