Writers' Workshops
Penlee House Gallery and Museum in Penzance offers writers talks and short courses throughout the year. Penwith College, at the Orchard Learning Studios, in Gunnislake, is another venue where there are numerous Creative Writing courses available to hone those literary talents. On offer are courses, long and short, providing guidance and practical exercises in every aspect of fiction writing: play writing, creative writing, narrative prose writing, novel writing, biography writing and writing specifically for newspapers, magazines and radio.
For budding serial writers seeking commercial success with longer fiction, there is the offer of elucidation in the tricks of the trade, with courses offered by Joanna Barnden. In February at Mickleover Library she offers her Writing Fiction for Women's Magazines - Writing Serials course.
