Pepper Spray Products-why College Women Need Them

Colorado College is one of the most highly respected universities in Colorado and indeed in the country

. It is a very small and exclusive college that of course is very liberal. But it's located in a pretty nice part of Colorado Springs which made this headline recently very unusual.

It seems that there are some perverted assailants who are assaulting young women on campus at night. College officials of course don't like this kind of publicity. They want parents to believe that their kids are safe when they go off to school. That is largely a myth that they are safe. Most college campuses are a hotbed of sexual assaults.

Just think about this for a moment if you will: you have over-sexed males that are between the ages of 18 and 22; combined with the high use of drugs and alcohol; usually in a neighborhood that is crawling with sexual predators. Does that sound safe to you? I don't think so.

Pepper spray products are the most widely used self defense products in the world. Every police officer in North America carries some kind of pepper spray on his utility belt. Postal carriers carry pepper sprays with them as well to defend against dog attacks. Those are two pretty strong endorsements don't you think?

Most pepper sprays use a 10 percent concentration of oleoresin capsicum or OC for short. OC is a derivative of one of the hottest peppers in the world-cayenne pepper. The short spray in the face to an assailant will cause shortness of breath, coughing, choking, difficulty breathing and oh yeah I forgot- intense pain. Not to worry it only last for about 45 minutes giving you time to get away and get help.

College women around the country are starting to wise up and carry pepper spray products because they are so effective, easy to use, and generally pretty cheap.

When it comes to protecting yourself on campus pepper spray products are the way to go.

When are you getting some?

If you think crime can only happen to the other guy you are wrong. The "other guy" is thinking the same thing and to him you are that "other guy". There is a reason why they call it self defense. You have to protect yourself, your family, your home and business!!

Chances are if you are reading this that crime has touched your life in some way or you consider yourself at risk. Take the next step and do something to protect yourself! Your life and safety is worth far more than the cost of self defense course.

If you are in the market for a self defense product look for quality, effectiveness, and a biggie-LEGALITY. Stun guns are not legal in some states. Pepper sprays have restrictions in some jurisdictions. Check with your local police department first before you get one.
