The first thing you need to do to your space is clean it! If there is carpet you need to remove it, this eliminates the growth of mold and extra moisture. Then you need to vacuum the room make sure to get in all the corners. Lastly you need to disinfect the whole room to help prevent disease. Next you will want to do the walls, you should line the walls with either milar which is a flat white paint, or you can use viscline plastic with the white side showing. Never use foil, it causes hot spots. Make sure to cover all the walls completely.

Now on to the lighting, there is a few different lights to work with; a metal halide, a compact fluorescent lamp, a high pressure sodium lamp. Your lighting will have to accommodate your space for instance if you have a small space try using a 400 watt high pressure sodium light for flowering and if you have a pretty good size space try going with a 1,000 watt high pressure sodium light. Remember that the 1,000 watt is going to give off a lot more heat so make sure the room is properly ventilated to control rising temperatures.

Here are some things to remember about the temperature and the humidity in the room at different stages in the plants life cycle. The ideal temperature for indoor growth is between 72 and 76 degrees at all times. Ideally you want the humidity at about 50 percent during the flowering stage and 60 65 percent during the vegetative stage

One of the problems you may run into with an indoor garden is odor control, a good exhaust fan hooked to a carbon filter works the best and is an easy way to keep the smell to a minimum. You can use an ozone generator to treat the air and take out all the smell before it is expelled. Charcoal filters also work great for smell.
