The eau de parfum is not as costly as some other perfumes and it has only a single note which is stronger in concentration than three layer perfumes, but weaker than the colognes.

Eau de toilette is cheaper than the latter, but not as popular as it is less strong and less attractive than the eau de parfum. Carry it in your purse or handbag for a light and pleasant smell whenever you wish, for a short time.

Although not exactly a kind of perfume, lotions and creams too are scented. These are similar to the eau de toilette in their concentration of the perfume oil because they are not meant to overwhelm you with the aroma, rather just do enough to sooth for a small time.
