Personal Protection Products-the Three Most Popular

Even though the statistics don't verify this there is all kinds of anecdotal evidence that crime is on the increase

. Maybe it's just in my backyard. Maybe it's just in your backyard. But everything from home invasions to burglary, street crime like assaults, robberies, carjackings, rapes, murders all seem like they are on the increase. Maybe the percentages are not up. But that is only because the population in the United States is growing so fast. In absolute numbers crime is there.

That is why companies like Stun Master, Taser International and Mace brand have worked hard to develop personal protection products, a.k.a. self defense products, to protect people. They are a group of products that provide a nonlethal alternative to deadly force of hand guns. Their purpose is to allow you time to get away from a dangerous situation and seek help. They all do that. They do it in different ways but they're all very effective.

There are all kinds of products out there to choose from. Literally thousands of products from hundreds of different manufacturers so it can be a little intimidating when you go to pick one. From my experience in selling self defense products personal security products online the last five years here's what my customers think are the top three.

1. First is the C-2 taser. It shoots out two electrified darts up to 15 feet away. The C-2 is smaller than any other taser which makes it easy to carry and easy to use. It was really designed for women. It is nearly 100 percent effective. And in tests they have been shown to have more stopping power than a 9 mm handgun.

2. The Mace pepper gun-is loaded with a full 10 percent concentration of oleoresin capsicum or OC for short. That is a derivative of cayenne pepper one of the hottest peppers in the world. A shot in the face of OC will cause swelling of the mucous membranes making breathing difficult. It causes so much tearing that the eyes will shut. It also causes choking, shortness of breath and intense pain. But not to worry it only last for 45 minutes-the longest 45 minutes of an assailants' life

3. The hot shot stun gun-one of the smallest stun guns in the world at 3 inches tall. It is loaded with 4.5 million volts of power. When applied to an assailant for 3 to 5 seconds that electrical current goes into the body's muscular system causing the muscles to over work very rapidly depleting it of all blood sugars are needed for energy.

If you think crime can only happen to the other guy you are wrong. The "other guy" is thinking the same thing and to him you are that "other guy". There is a reason why they call it self defense. You have to protect yourself, your family, your home and business!!
