Personal Review of Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 Software

I purchased the Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 speech recognition software on a whim a few months ago

. One of the main reasons for the purchase is that I do a lot of typing in Microsoft Word now to create new blog posts for several web sites and thought this may speed up the process vs. typing. Well I must tell you it has definitely helped me speed up my work. It took me about 30 minutes to train the software to my voice from the time I took the software out of the box,and, about 30 more minutes to fine tune the quality of the words it interprets. Now I am very surprised when I just dictate and it spells almost everything correctly. It is somewhat entertaining to use as a result. I can speed up my posting to blogs as this dictation is faster than my typing ever was. I do have to review my dictation to verify accuracy as occasionally it may misspell a word or two or use a word that might sound the same as what I said but spelled differently. It is not perfect yet, but, I can verify that it is very helpful to me. It is noticeable that this type of voice recognition software has come a long ways as Dragon Naturally Speaking has upgraded its versions over the years. I am glad I ventured to purchase the voice recognition software and would recommend it to anyone who wants to speed up their writing.
