Phone Accessories that all Taxi Drivers should have

As a taxi driver, you may spend upwards of twelve hours a day driving, meaning that finding time to stop and take a call or reply to a text message can be difficult, as is recharging dying batteries or keeping track of where you have left your phone in the cab.

There are, however, a number of taxi driver phone accessories now available that make it possible to have a phone inside the cab and keep it safe, fully charged and easily accessible until a suitable place to return a call or text message is found.

Suction Phone Holder

There is nothing more dangerous than searching around in your pockets or cab floor looking for a ringing phone, or trying to sneak a peek at a text message whilst in the middle of a job. Luckily, you no longer have to do this as there are taxi driver phone holders that stick to the windscreen or dashboard. By placing the phone into this holder, you can see the phone at all times, and if a call does come through you can at a push of a button send it straight to voicemail and return the call when safe.

Cab Extension Cord

You may have your own phone charger that you can plug into your cab and charge your phone if the battery fails you. But these cables are usually not very long and the phone can move around the taxi if it is not connected to anything at both ends. The best solution is a cab extension cord.

Usually these cords are very long and allow you to charge your phone whilst it is in its holder or placed in your glove box, out of the way of front seat passengers or opportunist thieves. You will find that it can be used to help charge other battery operated devices as well. Cab extension cords are usually very cheap and are well worth the small investment.
