Photography Tips

If you wish your vacation photos came out more like these then here are a few photography tips from a professional photographer, Jeff Herron.

When you are set to snap photos consider the rule of thirds. You want to divide the shot into three sections either vertically or horizontally, the main subject of the photo should only be 1/3 of the scene.

If you want to avoid shadows from the sun use a flash when you are outdoors.

If your photography is going to be of landscapes and trees those are best to shoot at sunrise or sunset. For vacation photos where you want to capture the rich blue color of the water the middle of the day is the best.

For people who want to enhance their photography of people your picture will be much improved if you step forward about three to five steps.

Those looking for unique photo opportunities should try shooting some pictures before or after major weather events.

The most important thing about photography is that you should be taking pictures of what you enjoy most because that is when your photos will come out the best. Jeff is a professional photographer based in South Florida specializing in architectural and lifestyle imagery for the travel industry.
