As always Ping offers the best customization process of any golf company. If golfers want to get better and have the best equipment; it needs to be fit for them. The Ping G20 Driver is designed for all ability levels. External weighting helps launch the forgiving G20 driver with a high, low spinning ball flight for maximum distance and accuracy.

The all gray look is pretty sweet and not distracting in any way. It doesnt give you an overwhelming, I am going to crush this feeling, its more of a eh, this is a pretty good looking stick. Some of the features on other clubs that have been turn-offs (colored head, ridges, slots, etc) are not featured. Only the traditional Ping alignment aid shows on the top.

Ping G20 Drivers proprietary high-balance-point TFC 169D shaft creates a higher MOI and generates faster ball speeds enabling golfers to swing a clubhead with more mass at the same speed, for longer, straighter drives. The head itself is a full 460cc with plenty of girth front to back and side to side. It has a relatively deep face and sits square. It is painted a charcoal color on the crown, it has the Ping half-moon alignment aid and the bottom has a mostly polished sole with some red and black paint.

At first I was concerned it was going too high and I was losing distance and getting no roll, but I soon figured out this club offers the proverbial high launch low spin type of shot that most golfer aspire to obtain. The club is forgiving as expected, shots low on the face still get adequate carry and heel and toe hits still get decent distance and dispersion, quite frankly I havent played too many 460 cc drivers that arent forgiving and this one sure doesnt disappoint.
