Ping G20 Irons Set Hold Its Feet In My Golf Experience

Ping is continuing the long and successful G line with these irons

. Ping G20 Irons own the good design and good technology which can provide what you need on the golf course, ideal for the golfers who want to improve their golf skills. They work very beautiful on the course fot me.

Looks wise they are fairly similar to the G15s. Where we see the improvements is in the technology and performance. The Thinner face combined with the floating CTP port creates faster ball speed, better feel, and increased accuracy. The Ping G20 irons are designed to hit the ball long with forgiveness and distance control. Ping have added extreme perimeter weighting in the deep, multi-cavity back of the irons which makes the 17-4 stainless steel heads highly forgiving.

I really love the ball flight of these irons. They have a modern ball flight that is high, but still has the carry distance. The ball will hold the green. Also, the yardage for each iron is very consistent. The Ping G20 Irons feature some added weight on the back end of the iron set that they stole from the tip/hosel section. It sits well and square, with a lower face height and sleeker look. It was described as a nice cross between the Ping K15 Irons and G15 model.

I also like the head shape even though it is approx. To me, the look and appearance of these clubs is excellent. The same size as the Ping G15 irons it appears less bulky at address. Each club is easily identifiable from my bag. I like the wide sole as I believe it allows the club to move through or along the grass more easily. I believe the added bottom weight on the club helps the ball rise into the air more quickly. The design of the clubface seems to lend itself to better ball control even on the off center hits.

The Ping G20 Irons are incredibly easy to hit, launch the ball low for me (I swing hard so I use project X 6.0 shafts) but they hold the greens all the time. I now hit about three more greens a round compared to my dad's cut down Callaways. The only downside that I've experienced in the year or so of having this club is that it has a massive club head, ala Adams golf, and that the turf interaction from the rough isn't the best. Anyway, these are the best blend of forgiveness and workability for a mid-handicapper.
