Places Of Interest In Spain Puerto Pollensa

, perhaps the most ideal place is Peurto Pollensa just on the northern portion of Mallorca Coast. This has the most beautiful beach with Boquer Mountain running parallel to this beautiful beach. The fishing village cum tourists heaven was under the occupation of Romans. There are so many places to visit in and around Puerto Pollensa.

Beach:

There are many types of water sports, fishing, boating, etc. Most of the people prefer glass bottom boats. There are also walking paths on the beach and many other recreational centers. The beautiful sand and a perfectly well maintained beach is something most holiday makers prefer.

Mountain:

The Mountain running parallel to the beach has many interesting sports facilities like trekking and other adventurous sports. The recreation does not stop there. One can just loiter in the mountain range and enjoy the beautiful nature around and the most picturesque view of the beach overlooking the mountain.

New town:

This place is called Pollensa which is located in the north east portion of Mallorca. The main square of Pollensa is a place of attraction for all the tourists. It is certainly the most beautiful place which everyone should visit. Just near to it is the church. Just see this Nostra Senyora church; it is only a stone structure. But you are misled. Just get into this church. Oh! It is just marvelous. It has the most beautiful interiors and it is decorated fully for Sunday Mass. It is just incredible. There is a chapel near this church. On Good Friday, the picture of Jesus is taken in procession with torch light.

Old town:

This place is called Alcudia. It has met invasion by many civilizations like Moors, Romans, etc. To ward off such attacks, King Jaime built a fort around the city. The town has narrow roads but these roads are really maintained very well. Just not far away is the amphitheater believed to have been built during the Roman period. There is also a church near this old town which is believed to have been built centuries ago.

Lulc:

Never miss the chapel in this place; it is the most revered spot of Perto Pollensas neighboring city. The story goes that a shepherd found a statue of Virgin. It was kept in the local church. But the statue moved to the place where it was found and it happened three times. A chapel was built in the place where this statue was found.
