Costa Blanca is one of the most popular tourist spots of Spain and is normally the

first choice of tourists who want to spend their holiday in a beach resort. Villamartin was one of the villages coming under the Alicante province and a part of the Costa Blanca. This village had great potential to become a popular tourist spot.

The municipality of Orihuela took an interest in developing this village and harnessed the available resources and built many resorts, villas, apartments and hotels to attract the tourists. The facilities at the beach were improved and now Villamartin is one of the most popular beaches of Costa Blanca.

Facilities at Villamartin:

This small village of about 2000 inhabitants is now a huge urban area. Beautiful modern buildings have come up in and around this tiny village. Now, this village has become a cosmopolitan city. The village is known for its pleasant climate; sunshine almost throughout the year and moderate rainfall. The average temperature is 20 degrees and it is the most pleasant climate to enjoy on a beach.

This village, now converted into a modern cosmopolitan village has all the facilities a tourist requires to make his tour a pleasant memory. There is a theme park which every tourist visits and there are lots of avenues for amusement in the theme park. There is go-cart track which people of all ages enjoy. There are other parks where facilities like separate track for walking and cycling are available.

The beach in Villamartin is popular for its immaculate cleanliness and it has bagged the European Blue Flag award for cleanliness. Many beaches like Campoamor, Punta Prima, La Zenia, Playa Flamenca and Cabo Roig are within a short distance from Villamartin. Perhaps no other beach has so much of water sports facilities as Villamartin. Safety of the person while using the water sports equipment has been given top priority.

Another interesting aspect of Villamartin is the Golf ground. In fact it is one of the very few places in entire Europe which have top rated golf grounds. There are five golf grounds of international standards. Many international tournaments are played in these golf grounds. Some of the popular tournaments played here include Las Ramblas and Mediterranean open.

Villmartin has all the facilities like banks, hospitals, popular multi cuisine restaurants, bars, etc. The accommodation, food and other utilities are available at reasonable charges and are affordable by all sections of visitors.
