Murcia has a treasure of natural beauties

Murcia has a treasure of natural beauties. The city is located in between Mediterranean Sea and the Menor Sea. Two great mountains Sierra de Orihuela and the Cresta de Gallo lies Murcia surround this beach city. The valley of Segura and the valley of Guadaletin have blessed this city with lush vegetation. In the midst of this heavenly natural beauty is the coast town Murcia'. The coast is unbelievably beautiful. It is not only the beautiful nature; the city is also in proud possession of some of the most historical monuments which has added popularity to the city. Now let us go round the city:

Santa Maria Cathedral:

This cathedral believed to have been built in the 15th century attracts the attention of all visitors. Popular for its beautiful structure and intricately carved sculpture; this cathedral is visited by tourists throughout the year. The cathedral has different doors and each of these doors is decorated in gold. Tourists say one should not forget to visit the museum attached to the cathedral. It has huge collection of religious works apart from some of the paintings by renowned artists. Right opposite the cathedral is Bishop's house and the city hall. The surrounding is so beautiful that the visitor will certainly all in love with it.

Those who visit Spain will find that every province, city and even some of the villages have museums. This is true of Murcia also. This coast city has Archeological museum, museum of water system, Museum on Aqua life, Museum of fine arts etc. These museums, apart from providing intricate details of the specific field of knowledge also have some of the rare historical collections. In this connection, specific mention can be made of the Archeological museum located in the city of Carthagena which is the capital of Murcia. Interestingly, this museum gives a complete history of the Iberian city and the influence of different civilizations had on the Iberian city and many other aspects like the life of the people in these different civilizations etc. The municipal archeological museum is another museum worth visiting. This museum is located in one of the most beautiful buildings. Historians say that the building where the museum is now located was a church called as the church of our Lady of Solitude'.
