A trip to London is a great idea for a quick city break

, either as a weekend visit or during the week. For busy working couples and singles it can often be tricky to fit a holiday into your schedule, however a mini break in the city is the perfect way to enjoy yourself and have a break from work and home life. London is the destination of choice for many travellers, and it has almost everything you could need to enjoy the perfect mini break. Whether you fancy taking in some history and culture in the city's many museums, being entertained at a West End show, or indulging on some serious retail therapy, London is the place for you! Cheap London hotels are very easy to find in all areas of the city, and choosing somewhere to stay may depend on the activities you are planning to undertake. Good travel connections are essential when you are planning on visiting London, and trains can often be the cheapest and easiest way to reach the city. Driving can take a long time if the traffic is bad, and it can be very costly to park in the centre of London, even in hotel car parks. Bear in mind the cost of the petrol and the congestion charge if it will apply, and taking the train is a much cheaper and stress-free option, not to mention environmentally friendly! When you arrive in the city by train you will reach one of London's major stations such as Euston or Waterloo.

These both have underground lines running from them to other areas, so searching for cheap London hotels which have a tube stop nearby will make it much easier for you to get from the train station to your hotel in one piece, particularly if you are carrying heavy luggage! A nearby underground station will also make travelling around the city quick and easy, so hotels with good transport links can make your mini break a lot easier. All good London hotels should offer services which help to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. Room service and luxurious hotel rooms are always great to help you unwind after a long day, and a great cooked and continental breakfast selection is essential to fill you up for a full day of exploring, shopping and sightseeing!
